Guilt-free Upgrade

Upgrade your Solar System without sending your Old Solar Panels to Landfill

Do you already have solar installed on your home or business? Looking to upgrade?

Many home and business owners are reluctant to upgrade their existing solar PV systems due to the waste that is usually associated with the removal of old solar panels. You may have been an early adopter of solar, and the thought of your solar panels ending up in landfill has been the main barrier to upgrading.

Second Life Solar does just that; it gives your existing solar panels the opportunity to have a second life! This not only reduces your impact on the environment, but it gives you the opportunity to install new, high-quality, high-performing, and greater efficient solar panels.

Additionally, Second Life Solar will cover the cost of removing your old panels if you choose to add a new solar system.

In partnership with the CSIRO, the NSW Environment Protection Authority, and Energy Matters, Second Life Solar is proud to provide an alternative to existing solar customers.

How Second Life Solar Works

Second Life Solar works with the CSIRO to test and refurbish and redeploy or recycle old solar panels.

Solar Panels Second Life

Step 1

As you will be upgrading your existing solar system, one of our certified solar retailers will contact you to prepare a quote. They will factor in your current and future electricity consumption needs and provide a tailored quote.

Step 2

Once the quote is accepted, your old solar panels will be removed from your home or business for FREE.

These panels will be tested with technology developed by the CSIRO to ascertain the potential for a second life. The panels will be tested for efficiency and quality.

Your new system will be installed following the removal of your old system.

Step 3

If your old panels cannot be given a second life, they will be sent to a recycling facility that will recycle up to 100% of the materials.

Panels that have been granted a second life will be installed in a solar garden, for use on locations such shopping centres.
